What we do

Three ways we carry the Gospel.

Since 2001, teams from New Hampshire have been going to Jamaica with one purpose: to reach people for Christ and leave local churches stronger than we found them.

Preach the Gospel

Expository preaching in churches, teen meetings, school assemblies and nursing homes — plus training for the Jamaican pastors who shepherd these congregations all year long.

Care for the Sick

Free health-screening clinics at each partner church, staffed by our nurses and volunteers. Neighbors who would never enter a church come for care and hear about Christ.

Build Up the Church

Block work, roofing, painting and repairs on the buildings where Jamaican churches gather — so they can serve their communities seven days a week.

Jamaica sits 1,800 miles south of Monroe, New Hampshire. Our teams focus on Clarendon Parish — its churches, schools and villages — so relationships deepen year after year instead of starting over.

2001First team
Our story

It started with a school. It continued with three families.

From 2001 to 2004 a Christian school in New Hampshire sent student teams to minister in Jamaica. When those trips ended, three families who had seen what God was doing couldn't let it stop.

They formed Christian Mission to Jamaica so the work would continue — and by God's grace, it has. Two decades later, the same churches in Clarendon Parish still welcome our teams like family, and a new generation of teenagers is now going where their parents once went.

Urgent need

Hurricane Melissa tore roofs off churches. Help us put them back.

On October 27–28, 2025, Hurricane Melissa hit Jamaica with devastating force. The western parishes took the worst of it: homes flattened, church buildings destroyed, families left with nothing.

By God's mercy, Clarendon Parish — where we mainly minister — was spared the worst. That puts us in a position to help. Christian Mission to Jamaica is committed to reaching out to hurting Jamaicans with both the Gospel and practical help as they rebuild.

Our most recent team spent a week in Clarendon Parish doing exactly what we always do — and watching God use ordinary people in extraordinary ways.
